Lintas Ruang: Jurnal Pengetahuan dan Perancangan Desain Interior
Lintas Ruang Journal was established in 2007 as a platform for the discourses on interior design from multiple perspectives in various design-related disciplines: architecture, interior design, spatial design, and other relevant fields. The journal is published by Department of Interior Design, Faculty of Fine Art and Design, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta.
Aims and Scope
The Journal of Interior Design Knowledge and Planning is a periodic scientific journal aimed at publishing scientific works resulting from research, development, and literature studies in the field of interior design. The journal presents the discourses on interior design from multiple perspectives in various design-related disciplines: architecture, interior design, spatial design, and other relevant fields. The concept of this journal emphasizes the internal aspects that shape and condition the interior, which can be understood and realized through the user's dwelling, through the materiality of objects and the built environment, and through specific methods and approaches of design practice.
Authors are invited to submit articles that address questions about interior design scholarship in a variety of contexts, which may include but are not limited to: domestic and urban interiors, personal and collective interiors, contemporary and historical interiors, global and indigenous interiors. The journal also provides an open forum to discuss aspects of locality that celebrate interiors in specific socio-cultural contexts where particular ideas about interior design may have originated and developed further.
Frequency of Publication
The journal is published twice a year (March and September)
