Motivasi Relawan dalam Acara Seni Budaya (Studi Kasus Festival Banjar di Jakarta)

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Kualitas suatu acara festival dapat dikatakan baik apabila dapat melibatkan masyarakat. Salah satu festival yang mempromosikan seni budaya dan pariwisata yaitu Festival Banjar, di mana festival tersebut sudah dilaksanakan dalam bentuk acara tahunan sejak tahun 2017 yang diselenggarakan oleh Kerukunan Bubuhan Banjar (KBB) Jabodetabek. Festival Banjar melibatkan masyarakat lokal, khususnya anak muda sebagai Relawan untuk membantu proses keberlangsungan acara. Dengan adanya peluang keterlibatan dalam acara yang kemudian menjadi daya tarik sebagian masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi dan ikut serta sebagai relawan dalam Festival Banjar. Hal tersebut tentunya didasari dari sebuah motivasi dan dorongan baik dari individu maupun dari lingkungan sekitar. Tujuan dalam penelitian yaitu meninjau terkait motivasi relawan untuk terlibat mengikuti kegiatan kerelawanan melalui enam dimensi Volunteer Fungction Inventory (VFI) dan tiga teori kebutuhan McClelland. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa motivasi berperan penting dalam memengaruhi relawan yang terlibat dalam acara seni budaya. Nilai menjadi dasar dalam keterlibatan relawan melalui rasa memiliki terhadap kebudayaan yang dipertunjukkan. Selain itu, kebutuhan akan pemahaman, sosial, pencapaian, karir, dan perlindungan juga mendorong keikutsertaan relawan dalam membantu acara seni budaya.

 

Volunteer Motivation in Cultural Arts Events

(Case Study of Banjar Festival in Jakarta)

ABSTRACT

The quality of a festival event can be said to be good if it can involve the community. One of the festivals that promote arts, culture and tourism is the Banjar Festival, where the festival has been held in the form of an annual event since 2017 organized by the Jabodetabek Bubuhan Harmony (KBB). The Banjar Festival involves local people, especially young people, as volunteers to help the process of the event's sustainability. With the opportunity to be involved in the event which later became an attraction for some people to participate and participate as volunteers in the Banjar Festival. This is certainly based on motivation and encouragement from both the individual and the surrounding environment. The purpose of this research is to review the motivation of volunteers to be involved in volunteer activities through 6 dimensions of the Volunteer Function Inventory (VFI) and 3 McClelland's theory of needs. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques in this study used semi-structured interviews. The results show that motivation plays an important role in influencing volunteers who are involved in cultural arts events. Values are the basis for volunteer involvement through a sense of belonging to the culture shown. In addition, the need for understanding, social, achievement, career and protection also encourages the participation of volunteers in assisting cultural arts events.
