Think-Pair-Share: Peningkatkan Kemampuan Bernyanyi Teknik, Lagu, dan Efikasi Diri

Stephanie Anggreinie, Nancy Susianna

Abstract

Abstract

Think-Pair-Share: Improving Singing Technique, Song, and Self-Efficacy. This study aims to find out how students' abilities in singing techniques and songs can be improved by using the think-pair-share learning model. In this study, students were asked to try to solve problems encountered when practising in pairs. By having the ability to solve these problems, it is expected that students' self-efficacy in singing will also increase. This research was conducted at GenIUS School for six weeks with 16 students as research subjects. This research is quantitative with a weak experimental method using a static-group Pretest and Posttest design. The instruments used to obtain data have been validated by two experts in music and education. The values obtained were tested using Mann-Whitney. The hypothesis test results of the ability to sing techniques show asymp. sig (2-tailed) of 0.004, and the hypothesis test of song singing ability shows asymp. sig (2-tailed) shows asymp. sig (2-tailed) of 0.002, and the self-efficacy hypothesis test showed asymp. sig (2-tailed) of 0.170. It was concluded that there were differences in students' singing techniques and song abilities between the control and experimental classes. However, the self-efficacy of the control and experiment classes was the same. In practical courses, students learn in pairs, so they provide input to each other during practice. This method made sure that the practical class practised more effectively, therefore, got a better score in singing technique and song.
