ART OF COSTUME: Konsep Penyelenggaraan dan Tata Kelolanya (ART OF COSTUME: The Concept of Organizing and Managing)

Suharno Suharno

Abstract

Abstract
This paper aims to describe the concept of organizing and managing the Art of Costume (AOC), an annual fashion event initiated by Himpunan Mahasiswa Tata Rias dan Busana (Himtarius)FSRD ISBI Bandung. This is based on two things. First, as far as the author's observations have
not been found similar events produced by the student association in the field of fashion from the College of Arts in Indonesia. Second, the fashion event which emphasizes more on the art elements has proven the ability to get the students involved in it to get prestigious awards at Jember
Fashion Carnival (JFC)─the third-best carnival in the world─both as best performance, best performance, and unique costume. This success is certainly inseparable from the concept of organizing and managing the AOC itself. Therefore this paper is considered quite urgent because
at least it can be used as a reference for the management of classy fashion events in the context of art education.
